Creation Date: September 2026

1. Arrival & Entry Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled session. Wait outside
until invited in to ensure a calm transition for all dogs. Each session lasts 45 minutes and finishes
promptly.

2. Session Gaps A 15-minute gap is maintained between bookings to support dogs who are reactive,
anxious, or sensitive. These intervals allow staff to reset the sanctuary environment for the next visitor.

3. Respecting Other Visitors The sanctuary is used by dogs with varied emotional and sensory needs.
Please give others space and avoid interactions unless mutually agreed.

4. Toileting & Clean-Up Dogs must be toileted before entering the field. Please pick up any mess and
take it home with you. If an accident occurs indoors, use the provided markers to alert staff.

5. Use of the Sanctuary Space The sensory room is designed for calm, scent-led exploration. It is not a
playroom for children — please ensure they remain calm and supervised.

6. Booking & Payment All bookings must be made online and paid in advance. You may book a
45-minute sensory session or add the food-search option (+£2 per dog). A maximum of 3 dogs per
session is permitted, all from the same household.

7. Food-Search Add-On If selected, staff will hide food before your arrival. Please inform us of any
allergies or dietary restrictions when booking.

8. Bringing Your Own Treats You may bring treats for scent work or enrichment. All food must be
removed before you leave — no leftovers should remain.

9. Treat Bags Treat bags are available to purchase on site for use during your session or to take home.

10. Cancellation Policy Cancellations or reschedules require at least 24 hours’ notice. Changes made
with less notice may result in the session fee being forfeited.

11. Owner Responsibility & Liability Owners remain responsible for their dog’s behaviour at all times.
Any damage caused by a dog or accompanying person may be chargeable.

12. Health Requirements All dogs must be healthy and free from contagious conditions. If your dog
becomes unwell before your session, please contact us to reschedule.

13. Facilities The sanctuary is located in a natural field environment. No toilet facilities are available on
site — please plan ahead. Not wheelchair accessible due to terrain and field layout. Tea and coffee will
be provided.

14. Aversive Training Equipment Policy Kenelm Herb & Scent Sanctuary is committed to a safe,
positive, and low-stress environment rooted in force-free, welfare-focused principles. Aversive training
equipment is not permitted, including:

• Electronic/shock collars
• Remote training collars
• Prong/pinch collars
• Choke/check chains
• Slip leads used as correction tools
• Any equipment designed to cause pain, discomfort, fear, or intimidation

If your dog normally wears any of the above, please remove it before entering and replace it with a flat
collar or well-fitted harness. Sessions may be refused or terminated if aversive equipment is used and
not removed. No refund will be provided in such cases.

15. Agreement By booking a session at Kenelm Herb & Scent Sanctuary, you agree to abide by these
Terms & Conditions.
